A profile... Melhuish is founder and director of Pacific Echoes. He is musical director of jazz quartet Spargo, music renegades Brassouls, the sublime Labrophonic Preservation Society, the innovative Aerophonic Auckestra and Kingsley Melhuish Ensemble. His arrangements and trumpet can be heard on albums by diverse artists such as Golden Horse, SJD, Sola Rosa, Don McGlashan, The Brunettes and Chris Knox. His compositions can be found on Pacific Echoes releases by Brassouls, Spargo, and his soundtrack for recently released short film Rest Stop . His performances includes playing at New Zealand 's major festivals, abroad at MIT Boston as well as the Smithsonian Institute in Washington DC.
